Polyteknisk Boghandel

Polyteknisk Boghandel is the student bookstore at the Technical University of Denmark. It was founded in 1962 and is jointly owned by Polyteknisk Forening and Lise Scharff, the bookstore’s manager since 2002.

  • The main store is on Lyngby Campus in the main building (101) right next to the library.
  • The store on the Ballerup Campus can be found at entrance 13A.

Book list guarantee

Polyteknisk Boghandel in collaboration with DTU’s lecturers prepares book lists – at the following meeting they ensure that you will buy exactly the right version of the book. Should there be an error, you can return it 100% free of charge, even if you should have used the book. You just need to be able to document that you bought the book from Polyteknisk Boghandel. So remember to save your voucher.

Book packages

Every year Polyteknisk Boghandel makes book packages for bachelor students, which must be used for all courses in the 1st semester.

All students get a discount on book packages in the Polyteknisk Boghandel! You can order the book package via Polyteknisk Boghandel’s website and, for example, have it delivered directly to your door. You can also stop by one of Polyteknisk Boghandel’s stores and pick up your book package.

Voucher Competition

At the start of semesters, Polyteknisk Boghandel usually holds the Voucher competition on their Facebook page, where you win your study books as a prize (you get money back for books bought from Polyteknisk Boghandel during a certain period).

Rules are usually the following:

  • You buy your study books in the Polyteknisk Boghandel or on their website
  • You follow Polyteknisk Boghandel on Facebook
  • You write the number from your receipt or your web order number in the comment field on the post with the competition
  • Remember to save your voucher, as it must be presented if you win

 

Student discount

DTU students and employees get a -10% student discount on all books – regardless of whether you shop in the store or webshop. You just need to be able to present your student card or student card number when you shop on their website.
